Responsibilities:
Perform all required quality checks.
Calibration checks and chemical checks.
Challenge the in-line metal detector by performing periodic tests per the DFA policy.
Collect finished product samples from each production line for additional testing.
Continuously challenge finished product bags for seal integrity, weight and gas flush.
Communicate any findings to operators and QA when necessary.
Document test results in computer database.
Collect customer sample bags as instructed by QA.
Perform validation swabs during sanitation.
Perform post sanitation inspections.
Perform pre-op swabs.
Perform pre-op inspections as needed.
Complete investigations and document findings for quality issues on your shift.
Ensure that all packages and cases have the correct label and date code according to customer requirements.
Ensure that all finished product meets shred and dice specifications.
Assist sanitation.
QA is responsible for removing and replacing the shredder head blades during sanitation.
Follow all safety requirements and wear proper PPE.
Follow all DFA GMP's and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements.
Inform QA manager of any quality issues.

Must be able to use Excel spreadsheets.
Must have knowledge and understanding of SAP application.
Must have extensive knowledge of GMP's and Food Safety requirements.
Must be able to read, write and speak English.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
